Offering New Textures
Once your little one is well acquainted with solids and is at least six months old, you may begin to introduce new textures to her solid food repertoire. Continue to follow your baby’s cues, like whether she's using her pincers to grab small objects. Go at her pace and do not move beyond simple purees before she’s ready.
Start by offering baby small chunks of soft avocado or banana. These tastes are probably familiar to her so she will be more likely to try them. If these foods are too slippery, try coating them in a little bit of dry baby cereal. The coarse coating will allow little fingers to grab these foods with ease.
